Pay-per-download purchases
Pay-per-download purchases are no longer available. This section continues to describe how we handle data collected while they were offered.
Pay-per-download purchases could be made without creating an account. In that flow we handled personal data as follows:
- Source URL, session identifier, and IP address: recorded when a video URL was submitted, so we could process the requested cut or download and associate the result with that session. Still retained alongside the job record.
- Email address: collected at the payment step so we could create the payment request with our provider and, once payment succeeded, send the receipt and download link. The email is still retained alongside the receipt for accounting and refund handling; it is not used for marketing unless you also create an account. Where the payment step was abandoned after an email was entered, the associated job (and its stored email) was cleaned up automatically by our retention process — typically within one hour.
- Payment details: card number, CVC and billing address are handled entirely by our payment provider (Stripe) inside their embedded payment form; AppsGolem never receives or stores them.
- Downloaded file: retained for 48 hours after payment to allow re-downloading from any device using the receipt link, then automatically deleted from our servers.
You can request deletion of any residual personal data (email, IP, receipts subject to accounting retention obligations) via our support page.
